My main instrument is guitar, but I also play bass and some keys. I’ve been playing for about 17 years. During my beginning years I took a couple music theory classes in high school and guitar lessons for a year, but most of my experience has been of the self-taught, exploratory nature. We can learn covers if you’d like. Also, I can help you find your own voice through music and build on that. I personally find that to be the most rewarding part about it. Whether you’re just beginning and want to learn the rudiments or you’ve been in the game for a while and want to learn some new strategies and perspectives, I’d love to help out.

I like to think of myself as more of a composer than just a guitarist. Layering and putting the pieces together in ways that feel satisfying and right is really what drives me in this pursuit. Having a forte instrument is important, but so is the willingness to experiment with other instruments. While I don’t have a traditional classical background, I can impart a basic and workable understanding of music theory, that way we can help you write, compose, and record your own material. As far as recording goes, I’m most familiar with Logic, but I have some experience with Ableton.

If you’re interested in learning more about recording techniques, music theory, songwriting strategies, guitar/bass, or all of the above, feel free to reach out.
